This work plays with one of the book form’s basic features, the fact that sheets fold at the spine, resulting in opposite sides appearing in the book in mirroring locations. It sometimes honours this feature, that is, remove the spine and see sheets, each side of which shows a separate image. And sometimes it doesn’t: see sheets that show a single composition. But, are we sure we know which honours and which doesn’t? In the context of domestic content, this work worries that question, pondering, How does a divided house stand?
